Only 3 games were in battle on Wednesday night, a slow evening around the NHL. Former Islanders play a part in only 1 of those competitions, yet their contributions in that game were big. Let us take a look at the FI efforts:
* Todd Bertuzzi had his first 3 point night as a Duck with the game winning goal and 2 even strength assists as Anaheim blanked the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs 5-0. Bertuzzi scored his 7th of the season only 2:11 into regulation then added his 11th and 12th assists. He now has 19 points on 32 games. The tally was the 29th game winning goal of Bertuzzi's career and his first since January 16, 2006, a span of 82 games. Assisting on the game winner was defenseman Mathieu Schneider. He has 19 points (5 goals, 14 assists) on 31 games including assists on back-to-back games after snapping a 7 game point-less streak.
