Only 2 games were on the schedule on a slow Sunday. Let us take a look at the lone Former Islander contribution:
* Chris Osgood continued to dominate on Sunday stopping 19 of 20 shots to anchor a 3-1 Detroit Red Wings win over the host Chicago Blackhawks. Ozzie improved to 19-2-1 on the season with an ever-improving .932 save percentage and an improbably low 1.68 goals against average. Osgood has won 19 of only 22 starts. In his last 4 starts, Osgood has given up only 4 goals playing all 240 minutes of ice time and has stopped pucks at a .961 percentage.
