Ryan Smyth Injured

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that Ryan Smyth has suffered a broken right angle and will likely miss up to 8 weeks recovering from the injury. An MRI following a 4-3 OT loss to the Phoenix Coyotes revealed the fracture. Smyth joins a growing list of injured Avs' players including Joe Sakic, Tyler Arnason and Kurt Sauer. Smyth has 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) on 36 games this season. We wish him a speedy recovery.
