A little slow down on Sunday as only 6 games were up for grabs. Former Islanders are still lending their help where they can. Let us take a look at the FI efforts:
* Zdeno Chara had a shorthanded assist on the opening goal as the Boston Bruins downed the host New York Rangers 3-1. Chara has 32 points (7 goals, 25 assists) on 47 games. He has notched points in each of the last 4 games accounting for a goal and 5 assists for 6 points. It was the first shorthanded point of the season for Chara and his first since November 30, 2006, a span of 103 games.
* Robert Nilsson had a goal and an assist as the Edmonton Oilers doubled up the Atlanta Thrashers for a 4-2 win. Nilsson has 22 points (6 goals, 16 assists) on 40 games setting a new single season best. He is currently enjoying a 3 game scoring streak in which he has notched 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points.
* Defenseman Mathieu Schneider scored Anaheim's first goal as Dallas Stars thrashed the visiting Ducks 5-2. Schneider has 23 points (6 goals, 17 assists) on 36 games. He is riding a 3 game point streak scoring 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points.
* Randy Robitaille had an assist on the lone Ottawa goal and the host Philadelphia Flyers thumped the Senators 6-1. Robitaille has 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points on 37 games.
