A moderately slow night on Wednesday as 6 teams face off in 12 tilts as we charge towards the playoffs. Former Islanders are lending help where they can. Let us take a look at the FI efforts:
* Mark Parrish assisted on the game winner as the Minnesota Wild downed the visiting Anaheim Ducks 5-1. Parrish has 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists) on 45 games. Ducks' defenseman Mathieu Schneider assisted on Anaheim's lone goal. Schneids has 6 goals and 18 assists for 24 points on 39 games.
* Chris Osgood stopped 32 of 34 shots to record yet another win as the Detroit Red Wings edged the visiting Phoenix Coyotes 3-2. Ozzie improved to a stellar 21-3-2 on the season.
* D-man Brent Sopel assisted on the final goal as the Chicago Blackhawks fell to the host Colorado Avalanche 6-3. Sopel has 14 points (1 goal, 13 assists) on 41 games.
* Adrian Aucoin had a powerplay assist on Calgary's 3rd goal as the Flames survived a late Sharks' comeback for a 5-4 win over visiting San Jose. Aucoin has 7 goals and 17 assists for 24 points on 46 games. He has 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) on the man advantage.
