Monday March 5

1 game was played last night in Hockeyland: a hardfought 2-1 SO victory by the Rangers over the Islanders. But while Rick DiPietro was making franchise save records while 56 of the 57 shots thrown at him the Former Islanders for the Rangers were doing essentially nothing. Not like the score really allowed for much anyway.

  • Where was Martin Straka? He played a meager 18:05 with only 1 shot on goal.
  • Why is Brad Isbister in the NHL? Sure he had 3 shots and attempted to score on a lunging end-to-end rally, but really what asset does he bring to a team like the Rangers?

That was it for the FIs last night. Full play resumes tonight with 10, count em, 10 games on tap. Lots of potential action. Until next time.
