There were another 8 games up for grabs on Sunday. Former Islanders are trying to aid their teams as the league makes the push towards the playoffs. Here is a quick recap of the FI efforts:
* Michael Peca had Columbus' 3rd goal as the Blue Jackets beat the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3. Peca snapped a 26 game goal-less streak with his netter. He now has 5 goals and 25 assists for 30 points on 53 games. It is the first time since before the lockout (2003-04) and the 9th time on his career that has reached the 30+ point plateau. Defenseman Dick Tarnstrom continued his excellent play since being acquired by the Jackets assisting on the game winner. Tarnstrom has 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) on 13 games with Columbus, a considerable improvement over the 5 (1 goal, 4 assists) he had on 29 games with Edmonton earlier in the season.
* Robert Nilsson came up big again assisting on the second OT game winner in as many games while adding a goal earlier in the competition as the Edmonton Oilers edged the host Chicago Blackhawks 6-5. Nilsson continues his breakout season and now has 33 points (9 goals, 24 assists) on 58 games. He has a 7 game points streak (2nd only to his 8 game streak earlier this season) in which he has 8 points on 2 goals and 6 assists.
* Todd Bertuzzi assisted on the opening goal only 21 seconds into regulation as the Anaheim Ducks beat the visiting Montreal Canadiens 3-1. Bert has 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points on 57 games.
