Game play picked up a little bit on Tuesday night with 5 games. Here is a look at the only Former Islander action of the night:
* Thusfar, Chris Osgood is basking in the chance being given to him as Dominik Hasek continues to sit out with an injury. The Redwings goaltender stopped 15 of a relatively low 16 shots to steer Detroit to a 2-1 win over the host Edmonton Oilers. Osgood has won six straight games to start the season to improve to 6-0-0 with a .931 save percentage and an unbelievably low 1.50 goals against average. Since his last loss on January 6, Osgood's record has been an improbable 13-0-5 in 18 starts.
