Four games were on the NHL schedule on Tuesday night. Let us take a brief look at the Former Islander action:
* One of the newest Canadiens, FI defensman Roman Hamrlik, had a powerplay assist on the opening goal of the game in the Florida Panthers' 2-1 SO win over host Montreal. The point was Hamrlik's first in 5 games as a Canadien.
* Ryan Smyth netted a goal, added an assist and scored a SO goal in Colorado's 5-4 SO win over the visiting Calgary Flames. Smyth helped spur an Avs comeback from a 4-0 deficit in the second period to force OT. FI d-man Adrian Aucoin notched an assist on the 4th Flames goal of the game giving him a combined 3 assists in the last 2 games.
FIs accounted for 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points in those 4 games. Check back soon for all the Former Islander happenings here at FIW.
