3 more games were on the NHL schedule on Monday night. Former Islanders were active in 2 of the 3 scoring 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points and a loss in net. Here is an in depth look:
* Tim Connolly scored 2 more assists for the Buffalo Sabres in their 5-4 OT at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Sabres forward is already having a heck of a year scoring 7 points (1 goal, 6 assists) in only 5 games.
* Roberto Luongo took the loss in Vancouver's 4-2 home defeat at the hands of the San Jose Sharks. The Canucks goaltender saw his record drop to 3-3-0. He stopped 30 of 34 shots but it was not enough. FI Taylor Pyatt opened the scoring with a powerplay goal and second tally in as many games. Yet another FI, Brad Isbister, who signed in the offseason, assisted on that Pyatt powerplay goal. It was Isbister's first point in only his third game as a Canuck.
