A whopping 3 games were on the NHL schedule on Monday night. Yet FIs had some play scoring 3 assists in 2 games. Let us take a look:
* Despite a strong performance, 28 of 30 shots stopped, Roberto Luongo took the loss in Vancouver's 3-1 fall to the host Carolina Hurricanes. Luongo has started the season 3-5-0. Teammate and FI Brad Isbister had his 2nd assist of the season in only his 5th game played.
* Roman Hamrlik scored his fourth point in 2 games with an assist in Montreal's 6-1 route over the visiting Boston Bruins. Fellow Canadien Bryan Smolinski also had a point for the second straight game with an assist on the fifth Montreal goal. Hamrlik now has 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) in only 8 games while teammate Smolinski has 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in that time.
