Monday April 21

One dream is over while another series will go down to a decisive game 7. There were 2 games on Monday and at the end of the day only 3 walked away still holding on to a shot at the Cup. Former Islanders are lending help to those in the running. Let us take a look at the results:

* Viktor Kozlov assisted on the game winning goal 2:46 into the 3rd Period as the Washington Capitals pulled off a 4-2 win over the host Philadelphia Flyers to force Game 7. Kozzer has 2 assists on 6 playoff games. Defenseman John Erskine assisted on Washington's 2nd goal with less than 2 minutes remaining in the 2nd period. Erskine has 2 assists on 6 games this postseason but snapped a 4 game point-less drought with the helper.

* Montreal blanked Boston 5-0 to seal the series 4-3. The Canadiens defeated the Bruins but it was a valiant effort by a #8 Boston squad that many considered lucky to have even made it to the playoffs. Montreal defenseman Roman Hamrlik had an assist on the 3rd goal. Hamrlik has 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points on 7 playoff games.
