In a bizarre move the Columbus Blue Jackets actually claimed goaltender Wade Dubielewicz off of waivers before the Islanders could get to him two Saturdays ago. Former Islander Watch regrets to inform readers that our announcement of his returning to the Isles was at worst pre-emptive. It appears that someone in the Coliseum was asleep at the wheel since it should have been priority #1 to grab the dependable former backup before somebody else did. We can add Wade back to the FI file and we wish him luck with the Blue Jackets.
