Yet again Former Islanders were not making waves around the NHL as we seem to be in an FI slowdown. With 5 games on tap Wednesday night FIs only made the scoresheet in a pair of them. Here is a look at their (mis)deeds:

Pittsburgh winger Miroslav Satan was stopped in his attempt in the 1st Round of the SO as the Penguins fell to the host New York Rangers 3-2. The Blueshirts were lights out in the SO putting home all 3 attempts against Pens' goaltender Dany Sabourin.

Minnesota defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron had another multi-point effort as he notched 2 powerplay assists in the Wild's 4-0 blanking of the visiting St. Louis Blues. Bergeron has been impressive on the blueline for the Wild scoring 2 goals and 13 assists for 15 points on 24 games. Ten of his points (2 goals, 8 assists) have come on the man advantage. Bergeron has been on as of late with 8 points, all assists, over the last 6 contests. The multi-point effort was MAB's 4th of the season.
