While the NHL respects the Thanksgiving holiday with no games stateside the same does not apply north of the border. There were 2 games on Thursday as 4 Canadian squads faced off for points as we rapidly approach the 1/3rd mark of the season. There was only one Former Islander accomplishment of note so let us take a look:
Vancouver winger Taylor Pyatt assisted on the shortlived tying goal as the host Canucks were edged by the Calgary Flames 4-3. T-Py received the secondary assist on the tally that knotted it at 3 a piece at the 11:18 mark of the 3rd period but Curtis Glencross would put it away for the Flames only 2 minutes and 11 seconds later. Pyatt now has 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) on 23 games. For the second time this season Pyatt has notched points in consecutive games and currently has a goal and an assist over his last 2.
