The NHL "started" the 2008-09 season on Saturday in oversees matchups in Prague and Stockholm. Of the 2 games played only 1 saw a Former Islander noteworthy. Let us take a quick look:
Playing in his first official game as a Penguin, winger Miroslav Satan recorded an assist as Pittsburgh beat the "host" Ottawa Senators 4-3 in OT. Satan assisted on the game tying tally only 3:56 in to the 3rd period receiving credit with Sidney Crosby on Robert Scuderi's goal.
