There were 4 more NHL preseason games up for grabs on Thursday night. Sadly there is a lone Former Islander event to report. Here is a look at the contribution:
Offseason defensive acquisition Aaron Johnson netted his unofficial first goal as a Blackhawk as Chicago eked by the host Dallas Stars 4-3 in the SO. Johnson was released by the Isles during the offseason and was picked up by the youthful Chicago franchise. Johnson has experience playing in the Central Division after spending parts of 3 seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. At 25 years of age Johnson would fit in nicely with a Chicago team where players average only 26 years old.
