Todd Bertuzzi

Todd Bertuzzi is now a Duck. The Big Bert signed a 2 year, $8 million deal to join the Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks on the second day of free agency. Despite reports that the Redwings wanted to keep Bertuzzi he opted instead to sign on with the West Coast squad and rejoin Brian Burke whom he had played under the GMship of in Vancouver. On the injury-shortened season Bertuzzi split his efforts between the Panthers and Redwings totalling 15 games played. He managed 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points in that time. In the playoffs, Bertuzzi scored 3 goals and added 4 assists in 16 games. The Ducks will be Bertuzzi's 5th team after starting his career with the Isles and playing in Vancouver, Detroit and Florida.
