Mike York
The Phoenix Coyotes signed Former Islander Mike York to a 1 year, $1 million deal on Monday. A considerable paycut from last year, York had a slow year as he split time between the Isles and Flyers. In a combined 66 games, York had only 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points. On his career, York has played in 515 games tallying 121 goals and 187 assists for 308 points. A staple on powerplay lines in the past, York has 28 career powerplay goals and another 61 assists with the man advantage to go along with his 22 game winning goals. The Coyotes will be his 5th team as he has played with the Rangers, Oilers, Isles and Flyers. Phoenix is hoping he will return to the career form he displayed in 4 non-consecutive 50+ point seasons with Edmonton and both New York teams (good and evil).
