Fourteen teams were active in 7 games across the league on Thursday night. Former Islanders gave their share in the play scoring 2 goals (both powerplay), 4 assists (2 powerplay) and a win in net. Here is a look at the FI happenings:
* Viktor Kozlov had a big night notching 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists including 1 powerplay) in the Capitals 4-1 win over the league leading Ottawa Senators. The Washington center has been streaky so far this season but has flashed occasionally signs of brilliance, this was one of those games. Kozlov now has 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points in 16 games this year.
* Mike York followed up his first point in 9 games on Wednesday to notch his first goal in 10 games on Thursday night for Phoenix. The Coyotes winger helped his team manage a 5-2 win over the visiting Dallas Stars. York, who had not scored a goal since opening night, found net on the man advantage and added a powerplay assist for his first multi-point night since December 15, 2006. He now has 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) on 12 games this season.
* Vancouver folk hero Trevor Linden was credited with an assist on the game winner in the Canucks' 3-2 victory over the host Calgary Flames. The point was only his second of the season on 10 games this year. Additionally, Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo stopped 36 of 38 shots to pull closer to .500 with a 6-8-0 record. He has now won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
