The Tank is rolling out of Long Island. Winger Ruslan Fedotenko signed a 1 year, $2.5 million deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday almost simultaneously with new Steel City mate Miroslav Satan. Fedo, who played 1 season with the Isles, 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) on 67 injury-shortened games.
An undrafted acquisition by the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2000-01 season, Fedo will forever be remembered as the player who scored the 2 goals that clinched the Stanley Cup for the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the 2004 Finals. In 532 NHL games, Tank has 239 points on 123 goals and 116 assists. He has also suited up for 53 playoff games recording an unimpressive 17 points on 13 goals and 4 assists.
Our best wishes go out to Ruslan.
