Saturday May 12

On Saturday night the Ottawa Senators stunned and silence the Buffalo crowd as they defeat the Sabres 4-3 in 2OT. For the first time ever the Senators lead a series 2-0, in this case stealing both of those games on the road. Our resident Former Islander in this series, Tim Connolly, played another huge role in this game, albeit moot following the Senators game-winner in overtime. Here is a look:
  • Tim Connolly assisted on the game-tying goal with 6 seconds remaining in regulation. With the point, Connolly snapped a 2 game scoreless streak and now has 8 points, all assists, in 13 postseason games. On the game, Connolly clocked 21:53 of ice time going +1 with 1 shot on goal.

Detroit and Anaheim face off on Sunday night. Check back with FIW soon for all your Stanley Cup highlights.
