With only 1 game on tap Monday night there was a slim chance of Former Islander happenings. Well one FI lived up to his end of the bargain taking his old team to grindstone. Here is a look:
Colorado winger and one time Islander Ryan Smyth scored 2 goals against his old squad as the Avalanche fell to the host Isles 4-2. Smyth netted a powerplay goal only 33 seconds into the 2nd Period and added a goal only 62 seconds into the 3rd. He has 3 goals over the last 2 games and now has 23 goals and 30 assists for 53 points on 64 games. Nine (9) of his 23 goals have come on the man advantage.
Check in soon for more updates at FIW.
